This treatise was originally a lecture delivered by the author in Mansura, Egypt. He was encouraged to present the topic in a readable form so that its benefit would reach a wider audience. The fiqh, etiquette, forms of supplication, virtues, benefits, preferred times and places for seeking forgiveness are discussed. The author has also mentioned the obstacles which prevent forgiveness.
