Due to the importance of this subject, I collected evidence from the
Qurʾān and Sunnah, for those who lack in knowledge like myself, relating to the rulings of usury and highlighted its negative impact on individuals and society.
The research is divided into an introduction, three main chapters, and
a conclusion, which are detailed as follows:
CHAPTER ONE: Ribā before Islām, which includes the following sections:
Section One: Definition of Ribā linguistically and in Islāmic law.
Section Two: Ribā as to Jews.
Section Three: Ribā during Jāhiliyyah (pre-Islāmic time of ignorance).
CHAPTER TWO: The Islāmic stance on Ribā, including the following:
Section One: Warning against Ribā.
Section Two: Ribā al-Faḍl).
First: Its definition.
Second: Some texts concerning the prohibition of Ribā al-Faḍl.
Third: Ruling on it as well as on other types of Ribā.
