Imam al-Mujaddid Muhammad bin Abdil-Wahhab | Abu Iyaad Amjad Rafiq
This is a small treatise from Shaykh al-Islam Muhammad bin ‘Abd al-Wahhab (may Allah have mercy on him) concerning six mighty principles of the religion of Islam. These principles are:
- Tawhid, Allah’s sole right of worship,
- Unity in the religion, upon the Book and the Sunnah,
- Unity behind those in authority over the Muslims by hearing and obeying in what constitutes good,
- Recognizing the true scholars and jurists,
- Recognizing the true Awliya’ (pious friends and allies) of Allah, and
- Refuting a doubt used to turn people away from acting by the Qur’an and the Sunnah.
These principles constitute signs by which Allah’s greatness is manifested and known. They have been explained by Allah in a very clear and unambiguous manner in His Book such that even the common-folk can easily grasp them. Despite this, many of the intelligent people of the world have erred with respect to them. If you grasp and understand them, they will hold your religion in place and keep you upon right guidance with Allah’s permission.
